BTW this is a great case study to talk media literacy for farms.
If someone says "the guvmint is out to get them," sometime's that's bc they keep getting themselves in legal trouble!
Don't take claims at face value. Fact check!

I looked up Mark McAfee's farm on Google Maps & was surprised to see that his "grass-fed dairy" is a bog standard, feedlot-style large commercial dairy.
With over 1,000 cows standing & lying around on what we call a "dry manure pack" in the biz.
Great news! He had an influencer come do a video tour of his farm, so we can get a better look.

The cows are in a shed with a feed trough. With a big empty green field behind them.
This is 100% true! It's not humane to graze cattle in high heat!
That's why most central CA dairies work this way. They keep cows in the shade & feed them alfalfa hay & corn silage in a trough.
So marketing himself as a "pastured grass-fed dairy" that's "different" is a CHOICE.
But surely when he says his farm is "clean," "innovative," and "up to extra high hygiene standards because we sell raw milk," he can't be kidding about that. Right?
Right?
Thank god, I guess.
I did find a record of him making a comment to the USDA organic program about the pasture rule (to be organic, a dairy has to have cows on pasture X amount of time) which is kinda funny.
Basically marketing. I think meat *might* be a bit more regulated, but not 100% sure.
Your 'reporting' is inaccurate, as is your assessment
