I've always been a loud capitalist. I was never a tax the rich guy. Until I saw how they were using the money to bully us into submission
Tax the he*l out of em! Once you're a billionaire, all income over $1M should be taxed at 100%
Start with Elon and Andresen

Then I had an epiphany.
Some fuzzy math I did showed up to ~$6T gets left on the sidelines in brokerage accts today that used to go to employees who spent it
And the mass wealth accumulation started when the CEO to worker ratio spiked to 500:1+. Middle salaries are still stagnant
And this👇
Then made the connection that the line workers' raises stopped when the stock buybacks became the norm
My take is that a company that uses buybacks to compensate executives rather than invest in themselves is a poorly run company that’s all. I don’t subscribe to the mantra Maximize Shareholder Value first and foremost
Markets are not putting pressure on the ones doing it, it's rewarding them
Everyone knows we have to shift to long term goals, but execution falters (intentionally?)
They're addicted to options and it's directly impacting the middle class
But the idea that cash is more productive sitting in billionaires' brokerage accounts is absurd
Payroll, capital investment, or taxes - pick one. The gravy train needs to end. The middle needs a chance to make something of themselves and they're being smothered
Live within your means! Maybe you should only have one house, one boat.
For me, capitalism is like democracy - it's horrible, messy and slow; it's the worst type of government, except for all the other ones
But that doesn't mean we can't tax em..
