Oh I've totally been there before, sometimes things completely fuck with the mic. Could be lack of power, could be settings randomly resetting (one time my friend had the mic just suddenly muted in Windows settings). I assume it's a USB mic? I'm so sorry this is happening to you!!

Yes it’s a USB Mic! I run my headphones through my mic for all sound even when not recording. So it was affecting my sound too. It’s a Samson g Track Pro.

I finally fixed the issue. It was a specific driver issue that I had to manually roll back 🤦‍♂️

Oh I'm a collector at this point—I've had a LOT of mics over the years from an AT2020usb, the little Samson go I had for travel, then to the RE20, an AT4040, then the Neumann TLM 103. 😅 I still use the RE20 at my desk for streams and the 103 is my work mic. 👍
