Dale Vince was on #r4roday at 6.50am promoting "breaking the link" between gas and electricity and of course it would be a morning the gormless Justin Webb is presenting. Cue fawning questions from someone with no idea how markets work and apparently no briefing notes explaining it to him

A really nice explanation of why changing to "blind bids" would likely put prices up, not down. There's no way to "break the link" directly.

Miliband seems to be mean combined [wholesale plus CfD plus network] costs.
His point is that increasing CfD renewables 2030+ should mean a lower % of bill is wholesale cost and higher % is CfD+network, so lower correlation with gas prices.
