I snapped one night, unhappy with my model and aesthetic at the time and went hunting for things that I liked

Overnight I decided to make my own vroid model that was somewhat decora themed and from there I completely revamped
Because I wanted to be bright and colourful and happy

I knew I needed my halo horn. A friend then ran things about my model through an AI thing (didn't ask but it's whatever, inspiration) which have me the inspiration for the wings. Bringing a little of my irl style in too, and bam! Punky.

Well I recognized that, in order to stand out, Vtuber designs were getting more and more... intricate? And the lore! Everyone was a biblically accurate dog demon wolf deer hybrid thing. So I went the exact opposite route and made a cozy comfortable design.
The robot stuff was from me learning Unity.

Booth. I am not using an original, simply because my budget has been too small, so I found one that fit my character's vibe and had authorization to modify, modified it heavily, and am building up a portfolio of references and potentials for when I can one day afford an exclusive.

Dang, long story, but I combined a couple superhero costumes I made up for myself when I was a little kid and gave them a more "street-level hero" look, added the shoes I used in my Sonic sprite comic days, redesigned my v-tuber prototype as my sidekick, and tied it all together in a shounen style!

Eumi's been a "mascot" character of mine since 2015. I love cute stuff and pink is my fav color. Tbh I was going to make a different character as my Vtuber persona (even got a design sketch), but I went with Eumi cause she feels the comfiest to me and there's not too many chubby models out there.

I changed my irl aesthetic to a more gothic one and that definitely inspired the vibe of my current model. It's basically based on how I wish I looked like lol, hence the horns and pointed ears. I was also inspired by many fantasy elements like elves and magic :3

I settled on this for a few reasons. First I wanted a design that was simpler to give artists an easier time when reproducing it (i.e. Commissioned Artists) and I feel like I've seen enough Genshin level intricate outfit design to not want to do that. (1/3)

The mask was a choice in part as an extra reinforcement of the boundary between the audience and me. I feel like in streaming that boundary can get really blurry and I respect my own privacy. Also in the future it allows me to go to Cons in full outfit and maintain a level of anonymity. (2/3)

Lastly, Luchadores in Suits/Formalwear is a really great look! Since their mask is their identity, they wear it every time they appear in public officially. So there are a lot of times where we get Luchadores in Suits. Goes hard 😂

I scrapped my "basic elf selfie" design when I came upon an old frog monster oc Hillankukka and thought to try and turn her into a marketable monster girl.
My clothes are silly/functional stuff I drew on her with hakama and virgin killer sweater inspiration.

I started with a basic VRoid version of how I looked, updated it to be more representative of me being plus sized and my affinity for Hawaiian style shirts, then when I switched from streaming dialogue heavy games to making movie reviews I changed up the shirt from books to video media.

I’m going for something mainly with red and gold (ik it’s basic) just be cause it’s pretty together and I feel like it gives such Asian vibes. So I feel like I’m able to connect with those colors !

I remember how I wanted to be a cafe/baker vtuber before, but nothing stuck.
The missing of my home island of PR is what got me to make the embodiment of what I missed from there. I hope as time passes she'll be having the changes of growth and beauty that I love, like the waters and flora.

It was joke about me being cyber witch at my workplace at the time. I have always liked science fiction, was pretty easy to settle down with the theme. Then filled the model with subtle tech references and inside jokes and it became Skye. Part of it is I use ecchi manga as reference very often 🙈

lots of trial and error!! my design was solely “fox” for the longest time, but one time I was looking at my design and thought “what if I had feathers?🤔” and looked up fox/bird creatures and found Enfields and was like “yeah that” and have just thrown myself fully at that :3

It took me years to settle on something since I was not able to find out what my vibe was and what suited me best traditionally, I was a former foster care kiddo and moved back in with my family at 18 and had a lot of issues from that, once I moved to my in-laws everything got better and I got it!

It's worth noting that sometimes when you have friends who change and can't quite settle you shouldn't really be critical of that entirely, granted some people do it because they are trying to run away from major mistakes they made which is a red flag, but in my case I needed an identity.

Originally I wanted to be a goblin Vtuber with a modern twist. I also love the 80's and 90's aesthetics. Put those together and bam! My design is also hugely inspired by the nerdy JRPG supporting character vibes, like Lucca from Chrono Trigger and also Splatoon!

Originally I wanted to be a pumpkin girl but my artist @unownpeep.bsky.social insisted she was only able to do anthro and at the time I reluctantly added a deer to the mix. I cannot undo my choice. People like the Pumpkin Deer too much and it's grown on me anyways lol.

I originally designed a hooded alien imp character for streaming with friends. I love the contrast of black and green and the look of a mysterious humanoid creature with cartoonish exaggerated features. Being non binary I tend to go for androgynous vibes or flip between masc, nb or fem portraying.

I never really connected to the idea of animal traits, or that of an angel/demon. Not a robot either. But I always felt attuned to the earth. So... why not be a human soul, possessing a bunch of rock and stone, akin to a golem? Something unique.

I wanted something edgy, romantic and gothic and... That got scrapped. I kept the moth cryptid theme but made the design more fun with bright colours.
