Yes! That's what I said the day I realized I was in a cult and left church/Christx.
Honestly, I started wondering in 2019 when we had a bad storm and no power for days. A priest said to me that it was mother nature after I said it was God's fury about climate change. I just shook my head.
I always say I don't believe in religion but this one I can get behind. Everything I have ever learned does not compare to being in nature. It soothes the soul π₯°π―
Jalene! I'm very glad I found you here. We do think very much alike. I have my safe space in the forest, it's the only place I feel truly at home. I believe trees have souls. I sort of think of myself as a green witch in a way. Celtic heritage. My daddy used to say he was descended from Druids!π€
I love meeting people who understand the much forgotten heritage of ancient Pagans. I come from a long line of witches, Roma and Celt. Being in the forest is my favorite place, that's where I regenerate and find so much peace. I have a sacred circle in the forest, the energy there is quite intense.
When I was a child and learning ways from my father, we would always stop and softly pat the ground. I asked him why we did this, and he said "it's to let our mother know we are here, and she will look out for us".
