The number of times someone assumes old == stupid becomes comically cringe. My uncle is old — he’s in his 90’s. Like most who worked in the auto industry in Detroit — he *was* conservative until Trump. He has been voting democrat ever since the “birther” nonsense with Obama. I’m proud of him!

The first democratic president he voted for was Obama. Considering how many fellow family members of his generation remained conservative — it was truly impressive to see him break with tradition. Not every “old” person is ossified in their beliefs … some are feisty and opinionated in a good way!

My dentist & I used to discuss politics, but one day I expressed frustration that half our population has an IQ under 100. He was horrified by my “arrogance” and warned me to never let anyone else hear me say that.

But we NEED to recognize, discuss, & adapt to one of humanity’s worst problems.

The dumbing down of our population is intentional.
American Christian indoctrination is playing a huge part in that, as well as many other religions.

We need to teach our fellow humans to read, how to make informed decisions, how to discern fact from fiction, propaganda and bullshit conspiracy.

Agree. My doctor is Asian, the nurse that cared for my husband after his stroke is African American (and smarter than some doctors), his cardiologist is Vietnamese. I could go on.
