It was Reagan who tried to extricate Mental Illness from Government (and all society). He just closed the hospitals and let them roam. Many who were alive then are still homeless now. Many many more have joined them.

I work in community mental health for Medicaid recipients. Uncertainties for struggling Americans who suffer from illnesses they never asked for, do not benefit from chainsaw slashes that eliminate life saving medications and services. We are human beings, Elon/Trump,not line item numbers.
