Under the accessibility setting on Bluesky you can check off “require alt text before posting” and that way you’ll never forget alt text!

Also, if you’re on a device with dictation abilities, add the description via voice-to-text. Much faster than typing, which I know is part of what makes alt text seem onerous (“the alt text is twice the length of my actual post!”)

It would be nice if BSky had the option of automatically adding the alt text when you’re typing in the intro. I shouldn’t have to do it twice. Makes it repetitive and onerous.
