This article seems guilty of the right's fake COVID narrative to an extent as well. 'The last pandemic', no, it is a current pandemic. 'Masks worked' no, Masks STILL work and are STILL needed. No mention of long covid, or other debilitating effects of repeated infections.

Trump’s response and things that happened during his first term include mask mandates, stay home guidelines, funding warp speed vaxes, subsidizing the American public with thousands per person, distance learning. The democrats undid most of that. Both deserve blame for this.

Yes, absolutely. The Democratic party campaign strategy was to do exactly the things the MAGA crowed was saying. They stop proper tracking, they pushed a narrative that COVID is mild and that it was over. That we could go back to normal. Because that's what corporations wanted.
