This is what Cameron effectively got right with his marketing (and a lot of voters simply assumed it of Johnson because he sounded ‘correct’) but the perpetual revolution cycle is distinctly off putting to the anachronistic. Sure the culture war stuff has taken hold but only existing reactionaries.

Reform voters want change back to prelapsarian 1970s when there weren’t so many foreigners and policemen whistled and every high street had a cheery butcher, baker and greengrocer. They’re not wild-eyed libertarians.

Another rightward lurch is going to haemorrhage the moderate voters in the UK - and I doubt going Trump-esque will wear well with UK audiences.
