I think it was just the ink. I can’t for the life of me remember what the ink brand was on this one. I have too many inks and I really need to nail down the best one for inking with dip pens.
It’s nice to see this one again. Can I ask what your inking process is? Is it analog? Nibs or pens? The variation just feels so nice to look at. Thanks so much, Derek.
This one was inked with a spoon nib. I mostly draw digital but I like dip pens and brush pens equally when I go traditional. Don’t think I’ve found the perfect tool yet:)
I was originally going to mention how much your style reminded me of bone in one of your previous posts. I would devour every novel I could get from the library in middle school. You captured the series' charm beautifully.
