#Whales are conscious breathers—surfacing every 5-15 minutes, while deep divers like sperm whales can hold out for 90 minutes. When one emerges, leaving a #rainbow in its wake, it's pure #magic

Every time a whale exhales, it blows out bits of snot from its blowhole.
Thanks to David Attenborough, I've NEVER been able to see whales surfacing like this. As so much as 'breathing' rather it's more like they’re 'blowing their noses'.
Reminds me of the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park. The steam is rainbow-colored and the algae in the spring was studied by NASA because it could resemble alien life that survives in extreme conditions.
My lesser known fact: whale breath is STINKY. Absolutely honking fishy fart odour and makes you want to gag. Can smell them from hundreds of meters away.

PS: and see your nose at the edge of your vision.

Wow!
my ‘learn something new everyday’
But that made me think that we use salt water to clear our nose.
Conclusion: whales don't get colds and a stuffy nose...

TY.
What a majestic beautifull creature!!
Respect!!
"It looked like a fish, right? But it was bigger than a boat! and when it surfaced it made rainbows!"
"Let me guess it sang to you too right?"
"while underwater!!"
"I think you spend too much time in the boat"
The reason why those evil whalers were able to murder so many at once is because whales don't abandon each other when there's trouble.
They're magnificent. 💙
