There were mebbe 30 folk on their way home from the pub. They'd opened the coffee shop & were sitting in the lecture theatre. The National Library doesn't have a lecture theatre w/ banked seating, but we should start a fundraising drive cos it would be most useful. Looked great in my dream. /2

Turned out these ppl had library keys & had let themselves in. 'The library is closed,' I said. 'You have to leave. You can't just come in & open the coffee shop.' Some people left but mostly not. Then my pal Kirsten showed up. She works for CILIPS IRL so is qualified re libraries /3

K helps move folk & there are 3 old ladies who need a lift, so I say I'll take them in my car. IRL I don't have a car but in the dream I have a Mercedes 280 parked at the top of Victoria St. This wd be the best parking spot if you live in the National Library & I get cross cos I'll probs lose it /4

The oldies live on the Cowgate- a drive on the 1 way system. We cd let them out the bottom floor of the library & they wd only have had to cross the road. This is a recent development. There were steps in 1837 which is when the book I'm writing's set. I get back & the good space is free Hallelujah!

There are 6 die hards left & the cleaners have turned up. I say everyone has to go & one of the die hards says what do I know, I'm only a cleaner. Turns out I'm wearing a uniform tho a cleaner takes me aside & says mine is from M&S so not the same. In the dream I've no idea where I got this outfit.

Eventually we get folk out, I decide we need a review cos too many ppl have keys. I note I need to sleep in to make up for the hours I've lost. When I wake up IRL, I realise I've now spent enough time in the library & I'd better finish the book I'm writing. No more libraries for me for a while, eh?
