We need to push back really hard against this rapidly coalescing “backlash” narrative that places the agency solely with traditionally marginalized and "activist" groups who are therefore ultimately at fault for causing a supposedly inevitable reaction, a predictable, near-automatic response.

I am worried this is going to become the conventional wisdom over the next four years: If those pesky college students and activists and SJWs hadn't over-reached, Trump II never would have happened.
It is nonsense.
It is nonsense.

What you did was give them a coward's excuse to admit /exactly who they already were/.
And we have a fix for those people.
They chose this.
She minds her own business.
He bullies and attacks her. He provokes her.
She does something to try to defend herself from his attacks.
He points the finger at her and screams 'look at her! she caused the problem!'
She didn't start it. And it is never HER fault.
-4,776,706 were wrongly purged from voter rolls
-Voter-fraud vigilantes challenged the rights of over 300,000 voters
-585,000 ballots cast in-precinct were disqualified.
-1,216,000 “provisional” ballots were rejected
-3.24 million new registrations were rejected or not entered on the rolls
That is ABSOLUTELY NOT how presidential elections work.
Districts.
Electors.
These mean that individual votes almost never matter, and some don't ever matter.
My district usually goes blue.
It is not mathematically possible for me to vote against all the land in West Texas that votes red every time. Some of those districts have /triple-digit/ voters, and they are never, ever flipping.
Why are the people whose SWORN CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY it is to represent our interests repeatedly choosing not to do so innocent?
Why do imagine we have a duty to vote for bad candidates, but they have no duty to be good candidates?
Earning my vote is their job.
We owe them nothing, and they owe us literally every part of their career. They work for us. Their duty is to give us what we want.
They don't, and haven't for decades, so why the fuck would we give them more chances?
Stop settling for so fucking little and demand your birthright.

They and Trump voters own this, not the Left, not Bernie Bros, not Jill Stein, or Cornell West
Because they looked at the stats that showed they'd win easily if they offered an arms embargo, and decided no, we'll risk trump winning to keep sending those bombs
Two elections lost to this guy. The whole party is not fit for purpose.
