I feel like we’re so slow in transition, maybe in part because we don’t want to lose control. There were times against Brentford I felt we could break and Odegaard brought the ball up slowly while everyone got into position… seems different than Liverpool. (Obvs also times Raya launched it quickly)

Basically, they count, and we don't have the numbers advantage enough -- too few outright sprinters, and too many players sucked down when defending. People blame the passer for being safe but it's more about how quickly we splay out

Does the Progressive Passing distance measure all passes or just completed passes? Explanation could be that the middle section on the meme is David Raya yeeting it forward and then Arsenal pick up a second/third ball from Havertz throwing every limb at it.

This literally kills me every game haha; Don’t get me wrong I love Arteta and this current crop of players but our lack of speed in transition is baffling to me, like why are we always slowly approaching the opposition as if we have to check for landmines before we take up offensive positions? #AFC
