I say 2SLGBTQ+ because I group Intersex with Trans (I know its different, I was born intersex) and the Aces/Allies aren't necessarily Queer and I feel like aces/allies are just kind of a general state of being? Like a *waves to them* "Hey friend!" kinda interaction. 2Spirit people have less rights

I think the Q is the best of all the letters! I use "queer" as an umbrella term for the community, it feels like a good way to cover all of the different ways in which we don't fit into the usual tick-box options that most people do.

Doesn't the word queer encompass all the others though?
LGBTIA+ people are all queer aren't they? So wouldn't it be easier to just say the queer community?

Not trying to be a dick btw, I'm genuinley trying to educate myself on this. Please correct me if I'm wrong on anything.

In more recent times yes. These are terms that describe a plethora of different types of sexualities and orientations individually to better understand a single person's identity. Queer, for a long time, was also used as a slur & only recently has been reclaimed mostly.
