Day 10: Eighth Year Yule Ball

After Ron’s death, it wasn’t Harry who walked with her in her grief; it was Ginny, Luna, and Padma. They showed up in ways Hermione couldn’t have ever imagined,
Lyra spots Hermione and dances over to her, taking her hand and pulling her toward the group of eight years. “Come on, Professor Granger.”
“Oh no!” Hermione yells in protest.
The song shifts into an upbeat, pop song.
Instantly, she recognizes the thump of the bass. It’s an iconic tune from her past, one of her and Ginny’s favorites, one they’ve danced around to more times than she can count.
Lyra breaks out into a smile so bright
She spins Hermione around, and the group crowds around, creating a dance circle. Hermione joins in swaying her hips and singing along to the song, and at the moment, she feels like a seventeen-year-old version of herself, but with far fewer scars.
As the bass thumps into a tune, Hermione doesn’t recognize it and manages to break free from the group. She spots Draco at an empty table, lips pressed together in an attempt to hold back a smile.

Like this, he, too, looks like a less scarred version of himself.
