So I figured it out, but only my wiping out ALL of my pins, which was not ideal. Stupid that I have to clear them all out to just delete a single one but I really like keeping my pins clean and relevant to my current projects only.

I've been having problems with Windows Explorer becoming unresponsive, which never happened before Windows 11. It would be very problematic if Microsoft eventually fully destroys Windows.

Idk if they changed this, but when I was working on the the pre-released version you would just right-click or long-press the item and select Unpin from Quick access?

Open Folder Options > Privacy > untick everything > apply, then unpin everything that's left in quick access. You won't remove the quick access feature entirely, but nothing should show up there anymore unless you pin it yourself.

SteamOS is out to builders and OEMs as of a few weeks ago. Do note though that they have very specifically said they are not seeking to make it a desktop replacement, so it will take some work or just installing SteamOS components on top of Debian.

Also for some reason it fails to install the current cumulative update

linux has come a very long way since even ten years ago. and yeah, it can be daunting but i think it's very rewarding, especially when you're able to control what is on your OS compared to Windows. I recommend trying a dual-boot setup (or a spare computer) to get your feet wet and try things out! :)

unfortunately, I think it's adding suggested pins, is the thing. It seemed to be for me, and I think it's stopped since I turned that off.
I could be wrong though. I've been messing with so many settings trying to get it to behave.

For some reason mine can't even install the latest cumulative update - it restarts, progress goes to 38%, then writes that something has gone wrong, and reverts it. I've heard bad things from those who managed to install that update, so I think I'll skip this one
