Recall cannot be uninstalled. It takes pictures of your desktop every few seconds. Unfortunately has massive security holes that hackers can exploit with ease to steal your data. MS has promised to have this software disabled by default, but I've found it enabled on multiple PCs at my office today.

If you have Microsoft Recall, disable it. When you use Windows Update, check its status again to make sure that this "mandatory program that you cannot uninstall,” doesn't re-enable itself & continue taking pics of your screen.

The program is for Copilot to make “better suggestions” to you.

Wasn't there a PowerShell command that disabled copilot as well? And a second command that, once copilot's unique identifier was determined (which at the time I read about it had not yet been found), could be used to uninstall it entirely?

Recall isn't spyware. It's a stupid product with bad security practices, but it isn't malicious and it doesn't transmit your data anywhere.
