Started typing a response to somebody that completely pissed me off just now
Something stopped me. I realized it was a dunk
So I calmed down & asked myself “Is this really necessary? Nope, it’ll piss others off needlessly off. It was posted to BE yelled at like an engagement dare.”
So I blocked.

Twitter trained *so many* of us to engage unhealthily. The influx of new ppl who haven’t (or refuse to) recognized this yet makes it feel like BS has backpedaled but I don’t think that’s the **entirely** case b/c I’ve noticed things…
No one here is immune to rageposting that way no matter how long you’ve been on BS. We’ve all slipped/gotten dunk ready but we can squash some old habits if we remember to try
I said I’m choosing to be optimistic but realism has to take center stage in any escalations that the BlueSky team has stupidly opened a back door to and I think we can’t forget that now that a new (awful) wrinkle has been added (by them).
(Took me forever to get to my point but whatever. *shrugs*)
George Bernard Shaw
Saw that shit all the damn time over at the other place.
I still remember what one asshole said to my friend in response to this:
I wanted so badly to say, "Just say you're an anti-Semite who's using this situation as an excuse for your hate and go" to that fuckwad.
Potential ally seems sus? Yeet!
See a needlessly provocative or plain clueless reply or skeet? Yeet, baby, yeet!
Keep that in mind and the value of that dunk drops even further.
