Assuming no external timing crystal, the device runs at 8 MHz. Using two PWM outputs (which I think it can do??) at 256 clocks per period, summing and then filtering them, you get a 31.25 KHz sample rate, which might be enough for a simple sawtooth wave. And you get 256 cycles to calculate a sample.
