There were a few years between my last YA novel, AT THE END OF EVERYTHING, and this one. The hows and whys of that delay is a story for a different time. (Talking about ATEOE more is too.)

But this book, this book means so much to me. Writing it wasn't easy, but the characters made it so worth it.
