ive been using linux on and off since ~2011 so i know the era when everything was a pain in the ass but in the modern day where most apps really do just work, discord has truly been an outlier in stubbornly making a fool of me every single day of my life

They're a bit too late, since Vesktop already does everything discord tries to do, but better... :V

Tho this means that people don't/won't need to seek alt clients if they just want smthng to work out of box.

vesktop is definitely a solution but it has its own problems, i've been frustrated not being able to put user volume past 100% or assign my own keybinds
