I'm one of the youngest people alive at the time of the USSR. I was a year old when it collapsed.

To think so many people who did live through it voted for it again is madness

The irony is the arms race particularly the money spent by Reagan bankrupted the Soviet Union.

But at the same time he was weakening the US middle class and the gap between the rich & poor grew massively.

Also he put in place policies that lead to the current US crisis.
