Starting today, our planned Rite of the Nine Dungeon Calendar will be changing. Each Dungeon will be featured for two weeks as opposed to three, and we are increasing Nonary Manifold currency drop rates which can be exchanged for additional weapons.

Alongside the above change, the second week of a given dungeon will also feature increased weapon drops, where rewards can drop from any enemy defeated during your dungeon playthrough. Holofoils are included in this as well!
For this week, we are rapidly working on an update that will turn on increased weapon drops in Spire of the Watcher until Ghosts of the Deep becomes the featured Dungeon next week. We'll let you know when that's deployed.
Starting on June 17, all Rite of the Nine Dungeons will be available to play at any time on any difficulty - and increased currency drops will be active for all three dungeons. Each week a featured dungeon will have increased weapon drops.
On July 8, a "lootapalooza" will begin; all three dungeons will have all rewards bonuses enabled for the final week of Episode Heresy alongside a new way to spend your Nonary Manifold currency.
Why does it always take overwhelmingly negative feedback to get you guys to revisit brain-dead decisions that you knew wouldn't be well received? You know better, and yet you still go through with it.
this happens every. single. time. and without fail we get the typical "we're listening" response for it then to happen all over again in the following season.
Bungie, I've been playing since Beta. Quit artificially inflating playtime. I played this game so much more when I naturally just played. The thing that keeps me from playing half the time is asking myself is it worth it to waste more time going back and forth for tasks. Please hear us!
Thank you for the quick turn-around on this. You guys knocked it outta the park by doing this, even though you didn’t need to, and it is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED! Keep up the good work, stay hydrated, & give yourselves a well deserved round of high-fives!
While I'm glad (really!) that these changes are happening, it kind of bothers me that it was only because the feedback had to be so fierce. But whatever. It's pretty much routine at this point, eh?
Maybe the three week schedule was done in earnest. Maybe not. It doesn't matter now anyway.
Off topic: With all of the collaborations we have currently/ incoming, any chance that there might be a @sega-west.bsky.social x @destinythegame.bungie.net collab with Sonic themed goodies?
Lose/Lose situation for Bungie with the time gating. They either give us 3 weeks of the dungeon or they rotate weekly. Crowds on both ends would complain:
"Bungie why do we have to do the same dungeon for 3 weeks."
"Bungie why do i have to wait 3 weeks to get the spire weapons again."
I don’t see it as an either/or, there was lots of ways it could have played out. They chose the worse one. Example like: One dungeon per week for three weeks. Once the cycle is complete, start Stage 2 and do the same loop with new quests and bonuses. Stage 3 turn everything on, bonanza until finish
This is an appreciated change. I hope that the team in the future can make moves that make players happy without making them angry first. I don’t blame devs. It’s only ever suits that make those original decisions. Thanks for listening and communicating
Human adults should be able to wait 3 weeks. They wanted to reduce fomo and make the content last longer. This was not a big deal in the slightest. You literally could do other things with your time.
You are literally the first person to comment re: bungie’s original Rot9 plan and blame fans for being impatient instead of bungie execs for timegating content to keep player counts up week over week.
This is a good change, but one that seriously shouldn’t have needed to happen in the first place.
You guys should’ve learned this lesson from ItL. Please listen to what your community is telling you, instead of pushing stuff out without precedent of previous design decisions.

When is the message finally going to sink in?

• Sonic as Hunters (silly mobility guardians)
• Shadow as Titans (Diamonds Lances = Chaos Spears)
• Eggman as Warlocks
• Tails jet as a ship
• Chaos or Tails/Amy themed Ghost
But maybe we could a Eggman ghost
