The Democrats didn't "do enough" because they were actively encouraging and enabling the genocide. The only difference in policy between the two administrations is that Trump is doing loudly what Biden/Harris were doing quietly.

According to Bob Woodward's new book "War", Israel cut off all food and water Aid to Gaza on day one after the Hamas attack, it was only in response to Biden's pressure that they have been allowing any food in.
$22 billion in US weapons to make Gaza a parking lot in exchange for about 20% of the basic food assistance that the United Nations estimated would be required to avoid famine? That seems like a pretty low bar. Also, clean water has been more or less unavailable to Gaza residents for over a year.
I think you overstate Biden's "pressure." Indeed, Biden used the resumption of aid as a negotiation point of the ceasefire deal he proposed in May (the plan he said was drafted by Israel, which they immediately denied).
Aid is required under int'l law. It CANNOT be used as a bargaining chip.
It’s like the folks who held their protest vote don’t understand diplomacy or how to influence a country that isn’t the US, ruled by a right winger, so they thought it’d be great if we elected a right winger to lead us. It’s dizzying, the lack of sense. If people weren’t suffering it’d be funny.
What needs to be said is: Israel/Palestine is ONLY a bitterly divisive issue because the leaders of both sides constantly work to make peaceful coexistence impossible. We are left with a false choice of brand X or brand Y genocidal maniacs, when what most Israelis&Palestinians want is to get along.
