Booker's speech was great. The confirmation scheduled for yesterday still happened. The lesson to learn here is that Senate Dems need to obstruct more.

Where it made a difference is with the younger generation. My 19 yr old son watched most of it. So did his friends, colleges held watch parties. My son called me yesterday to discuss it! He tapped into what they wanted to hear and see. We need to keep it up! He has a window to do something with this
And when I say colleges held parties, I mean students took it upon themselves to get together, because despite everything out there, they need to know someone is looking out for their future.
They're too afraid that Trump will start calling them insane lunatic radical woke leftists with Trump Derangement Syndrome or whatever - that's way too stressful to deal with (this is sarcasm). Plus, they might even lose their jobs.
His speech whether he realizes it or not was the last big speech before Trump killed the American Economy. It will start to gain major respect from many as if he knew what was about to happen. It should be highlighted wall to wall for the next week.
Sadly I don't see any other Democrats doing what he did, most of them are a bunch of pathetic weak cowards, if more do then we've got something, and I hope what he did inspires others to follow his footsteps. But we're talking about a bunch of old white Democrats that are cowards
I went to the one in Denver and it was amazing, it still wasn't standing up in front of/confronting the Christian Republican Nazis, we need more to do what he did. I'm not saying what AOC and Bernie are doing isn't important, it's different. What he did the whole world watched for 25 hours
But he literally voted unanimously with republicans as soon as his speech was done. He’s doing exactly what people have been calling dems out on for years. Doing one big act for the cameras then immediately going along with republicans isn’t actually helping.
That is true, the alternative from what I understand, Trump could have wiped out the federal government because there was no Congress or anything to hold him accountable. he would've fucked this country up worse than it already is
He literally would've had absolute power and immunity
They do need to obstruct, but not just obstruct. They also need to learn a lot: to campaign better, campaign on more platforms, reach and reach out to more and a wider variety of people, be more inclusive period
