I developed a love of reading early in life. It has been my greatest teacher, and travel has been my second.

My 2nd graders loved Jack Prelutsky! One of their favorites was Rat for Lunch which they insisted I read right before they went to lunch. Even kids who were reluctant readers liked his poetry!

Me too. I educated myself with books. I was unable to learn in a classroom so I read.

Excellent post!
I remember developing a deep feeling of appreciation of dogs after reading “Call of the Wild”
PS, did you hunt for a snark or a shark? I wracked my brain trying to figure out what book talked about hunting snark. 😉
