I think they're using the same technology in Canada to find, sadly, the graves of Indigenous children who died at residential schools. At least it may bring some comfort to those who often never knew what happened to their children.

True. Sadly they've detected anomalies that could be unmarked graves but haven't done any digs yet. They've also been using cadaver dogs. Some Indigenous (most?) don't want the bodies exhumed but I'm not sure how you know for certain otherwise.
