Nationalization. Communism is a classless and stateless society. A capitalist nationalizing one business is not that. If we had socialist/communist leadership and they were nationalizing all industry with the aim of socialist construction, that would be different. And it would be socialism.
Thank you for clarifying that. We are definitely not a socialist society, although we have a mix of capitalist and socialist programs in America. I have lived in a socialist country, and we aren’t even close.
Social programs and socialist programs aren't the same thing. Socialist programs are explicitly for the construction of socialism. Under capitalism, social programs are concessions made by capitalists to prevent revolution (i.e., to maintain the contradictions of capitalism).
