I'm sticking with the first one. The party in power with an interest in reelection should have stopped the ethnic cleansing or at least not funded it. Even Trump was smart enough to put a ceasefire with his name attached in the news on election day.

The mythical protest voter doesn’t really exist.

Dems lost support from key demos that went to supporting Trump. They lost ground with minorities, workers, youth… For a variety of reasons.

A major one was having a pro genocide stance.

What I’m saying is, it was a predictable reaction from a people group experiencing genocide. Especially when Trump ACTED like a compassionate alternative.

And that continuing the genocide wasn’t a good political strategy, aside from just being horrific.
