For a long time I have tried to build self-worth not on accomplishments or superiority but on service. That too has pitfalls, no matter how much you give there is always more need. And when people don’t need you, there are conflicting feels. Like awesome, and now what do I do?

The same goes for class warfare in general. To be considered upper class, you have to have lower class.
In order to build your self-worth on being better than other people, you need other people to be worse.
It's a very fragile self-esteem that requires others to suffer.
