It's very meaningful and special as it represents our culture although it's not an official flag in New Zealand (Aotearoa) we are still here and proud we are Maori ^U^
That's not very good info. The NZ government has very, very openly accepted the Tino Rangatiratanga flag and its use as an official representation of the Māori people. While it is a protest symbol to some, saying it's unofficial isn't true. It's been official since 14 Dec 2009.
can i say that the colours used were in this that COULD OF BEEN THE OFFICIAL FLAG OF NEW ZEALAND. Showing the 2 mountains that make the land of new zealand and using the colours of the Māori's and the Uk's to show that its 1 of the first countries that start new day cause of time zones
I knoow it should of been the NZ flag cause it shows both coutures of NZ and more instead of Britain's and being a near carbin copy of Australia's flag
New Zealanders are very good at mocking government iniatives we don't like. Some of the designs for the flag referendum were hilarious. Imagine this flying at the Olympics or UN.
