Freedom house saw this problem and took on the challenge. Back in 1960 their efforts change the game of pre-Hospital care, saving countless lives. These young men and women took the streets and became heroes. and this is an unpopular opinion what I’m about to say next. there is a saying in EMS

Restarts someone’s heart and celebrates seeing your eyes open again. No one remembers to paramedic or EMT that cries with their patients family after they’ve done everything they could to bring them back and couldn’t. Our attention then turns to caring for the patients loved ones.

Paramedics and EMTs will celebrate with you, mourn with you, get out there and do 5K runs for breast cancer or for someone local in their community. On their day off stand outside of hospital to see you walk out alive and healthy greeting you with open arms and to celebrate you.
