Let’s be real though, prior to Jordan a handful of big market teams but the league as a whole was struggling. People tuned in to Lakers and Celtics games and that was about it. Jordan elevated the game to its current level (if not higher).

Also, for people who keep thinking LeBron James as GOAT. One man won six titles in eight seasons. Never lost an NBA Finals. Never played in an NBA Finals Game 7. Was nearly as good a defender as he was is scoring. Ice water in his veins when it came to clutch shots. Yep, Michael Jordan is GOAT.
