Did they report it as a fraudulent charge via PayPal? If so, someone did this to me a few weeks ago. They claimed they used stolen money, so the bank came after them. It sucked because it was a month after the donation, and they donated when I needed it to pay off a loan. I'm fighting it, but yeah.

Yea, they filed as unauthorized transaction. Basically, I will always lose on that one, so I'm not going to fight it. I was already suspicious of the order, so I was expecting something like this. But I'd hate to see more people get hit by them, esp if they actually get art from it.

That's great. Yeah, it is annoying. I posted about it, and they admitted to stealing money and other things. It sucks to know the case will most likely go in their favor. The donation wasn't even for art; it was a donation made when I was asking for financial aid.even said "a little help" as a note.

I am also unemployed, so I cannot cover sudden expenses like that. It was $50, so my PayPal balance was -$50 for a while, and any money I received went to that deficit when I could have used it for my pets or myself. Irritating, but interesting to see more people having chargebacks.

Unfortunately 😔 I'm hoping maybe they will take more steps to help prevent that sort of thing. Or allow us to filter who can or can't commission, like must be a member of site for x months or have a full profile, etc.

The satisfaction of knowing they irritated an artist. That they wasted my time and added more complications to my day, I guess. 🤷‍♀️
