All due respect, that makes no sense. Why would it be unconstitutional for a cable channel but not one with a broadcast license? They're all technically broadcasting, one set over the air and others over cable services which are also governed by the FCC.

Yeah, in a normal media environment that would be true. In today's, it's their job to gaslight you into believing whichever version their side wants to be true.
And not have a 1 hour program dedicated to "both sides" especially if the host knows the truth, but stares blankly into the camera while the guests shout over one another.
I was brought up in a cult. We were forbidden to read literature the cult thought was against its beliefs. When I was 17 I likened looking at the world like trying to tell the weather without being alllowed to open the curtains. The day I did was the day I was free. I lost everything, but was free.
Spot on. We’ve had both intentional deceivers and unintentional ones. Accurately reporting the news is an important aspect of a functioning democracy. Failing to do so can lead to the end of such governance.
