I work in manpower management & yes...they're offering huge signing bonuses to get civies with ZERO experience in nursing/medicine & become active duty Officers. Also sending civilians to school to get degree & they owe 4-5 yrs on active duty. They are desperate. They're still below manning numbers.

and I'm retired military myself. I do NOT get any of the healthcare or dental I was promised in the 80s/90s. We have to pay for insurance just like everyone else and have the same red tape and restrictions making it difficult.

My dad was a master chief in the Navy, WWII & Korea. He was a lifer. Everything he was promised got ripped away under Reagan. When he got Alzheimers we had to take out a second mortgage on the house to cover his treatment that was once covered, but stripped away. I would NOT encourage enlistment now

RFK says it's a matter of national security that not enough kids graduating high school are healthy enough to qualify for the military.

They have a plan for that.
