My criticism is that shaping your worldview and subsequent behavior around 2000 year old (recycled) myth is inherently damaging to the mind. It warps your reasoning and causes the kind of dissonance that can be dangerous to yourself and people around you

Adhering to basic "Christian" principles are fine, but let's not pretend "try not to be a dick to people" is specific to Christianity. They're arguably the worst at it in actual practice. But acting on the belief that life goes on after death or that a messiah will return to save us all is harmful

Religion tends toward a rigidity in thinking that is unhealthy. Beliefs are hard to change. Their worldview is fixed and new and doesn't change to reflect new information or viewpoints. There are no unanswered questions so they don't bother to ask any. Its intellectually and emotionally stunting

i can do it, but i don't think there's many who can. besides, replacing one theory with another doesn't demonstrate how the theory of belief is faulty; just that one has replaced religion of faith with religion of science lol
