Gravity anomaly map of the Chicxulub crater in the Yucatán responsible for the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event. Of the dinosaurs, only the avians (birds) survived this time period. The white dots are sinkhole locations which trace the crater's rim. #Science #Geology #PaleoSky #Dinosaurs 🧪🦕🦖

Here is another framing of #M101 #PinwheelGalaxy from shortly after the #Supernova on May 19th 2023. It’s 21 million light years away, so this actually happened before there were humans on earth. Someone asked to see my setup. It's lightweight which makes it very portable... Since the SW Star Adv. GTI mount runs on batteries and can be controlled by Wi-Fi it really cuts down on the cables. My next upgrade is probably a guide scope. #Astrophotography
