Lol no. My preference would be to require two tests per year for these "classic" cars.

So there's either a fire near downtown #Oakland or the local Catholic Church decided that they don't agree with the Vatican.

Kudos to the Catholics for taking over today's news cycle and ensuring that the "amazing" agreement with the UK gets little to no attention.

Pruning back a tree and cutting back my neighbor's invasive jasmine was much needed cathartic exercise after today.

Finally saw Sinners today, and wow. It's worth the hype with an incredible plot, soundtrack, acting, etc. But this girl has questions and needs to do some reading. Point me to your favorite analyses, friends?

Definitely put one shake of chili garlic sauce too many in tonight's ramen, but at least my sinuses are clearer than they've been in weeks.

Having the hardest time finding a 60-70 " credenza/sideboard that isn't a traditional heavy wood style. #oakland and east bay area folks ... Any recommendations on places to check out? I've already tried the big chains and Poor Honey.

Man, this is a pretty fucking gross move from Amazon, huh? Good on @bookshop.org for not mincing words, though:

Fellow authors, I love you, and I know it feels like we don’t have a choice, but B&N and Am*zon both scheduled sales this week to preempt Independent Bookstore Day, a hugely vital source of income for indie bookstores. Please don’t promote their sales; please promote your local indie this week.

Damn. Imagine being such an awful person that the head of your religion dies less than a day after you meet him.

Today (and probably tomorrow's) project: replace deteriorating soaker hoses in 3 veggie beds with true drip irrigation, so that I can finish planting the veggies I bought a couple weeks back. 🌱

Yeah Barbara Lee!

Gut yontiff to my fellow MOTS! May your seder tables be filled with love, laughter, thoughtfulness, and the traditional family arguments/debates. #jewsky

I thought the water pressure EO was an Onion article. It's real?!

Got my drip irrigation working in my veggie beds over today's lunch break. Which means I can start planting my cukes (Persian, lemon, & Armenian), peppers (shishito & poblano), and tomatillos after work today. Yay! Bush bean and sunflower seeds go in pots tomorrow (I know, I'm late on those). 🌱

Please let this prophecy come to pass. I've got my popcorn ready.

That NYT GenX article hits hard. I love my current systems analysis career, but it's a far cry from the literary publishing world I joined in the 90's and expected to grow old in. Many of my peers also left publishing. I guess I was lucky that some soft skills transferred.
