Tonight’s light show.

I am especially grateful when people cook for me because they assume that because I worked in restaurants most of my life I’m difficult to cook for. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Tonight the neighbors invited me over for pizza, salad and this amazing homemade lemon pie with blueberries. 😃😁🍜🍽️

Sour cream makes all foods taste better! I even occasionally have sliced bananas with sour cream and a sprinkle of brown sugar. 🤤🍜🍽️

This work week has been a beast. Monday I forgot to eat until 1 PM, yesterday I ate cold pizza and quesadillas and today I’m starting even earlier. Thinking about finding time to cook today between all I have to do today. Cooking centers me, and not doing it in three days makes me cranky & sad 🍜🍽️

Four of last night’s courses from a tasting menu. Tomato and sea urchin with tomato broth. Truffle ravioli. Seared red snapper, saffron risotto. Sous vide NY Strip. Then Tête de Moine and coconut sorbet with coconut meringue. The amuse was a strawberry, avocado and pineapple aguachile. 🍽️🍜
