The voting members of the recording academy were like “they not like us EITHER”

is being unsure about whether or not i’ll be able to open tiktok tomorrow the closest i’ll get to knowing how my parents felt about y2k? #tiktokban

I’ve lived here 4 years and still never felt a quake.

My toxic trait is that I want my skull exhumed a few years after I die so my children can put it on their desk and remember their own mortality.

Like a phoenix. Long live the Mondrian Houseboat.

The now discredited “conflict thesis” of the relationship between science and religion is pretty entrenched in the popular imagination.

“Enabled landscape orientation when viewing an image” Thank GOD

but they were, all of them, deceived, for another year was made

Nosferatu’s portrayal of the relationship between humanity and evil is deeply resonant with Christian thought. I suspect that if you got in a time machine and showed this film to a 5th century Egyptian Christian monk he/she would probably nod knowingly and say “that about sums it up.”

I would “collab” but I don’t want to deal with the 1099 income filings

One time I asked ChatGPT to give me some quotes from a historical figure and it kept giving me paraphrases it was passing off as quotes. Only after I asked it for exact citations did it admit they weren’t real quotes. I told it over and over not to paraphrase, and it agreed, but it never stopped.

The 22 remains a top-shelf line.

I have lived in CA for 4 years and never felt a quake. When I was moving here from the east coast, I traveled from Florida up to NC for a brief visit before heading west. While I was in NC, they had an earthquake. NC does not have earthquakes. My luck is weird.

Never mind that Stanford isn’t even in San Francisco, Conservative clickbait sites would have a field day with a headline like this.

#EarthquakeSky 🎂

spotify wrapped day was originally a pagan feast day. it wasn't even originally in december until emperor constantine changed the date in 325 AD at the music fest of nicaea

me atop my hoard of unread books:

concur with this amazon user review of Zodiac

Bilbo Baggins did not start writing 'There and Back Again' until after he went on an adventure at age 50. He didn't finish it until he retired to Rivendell after his eleventy-first birthday party. You have time. There is no expiration date on writers.

Broke: “Frisco” Woke: “San Francisco” Bespoke: “Frisco” is fine actually, and it belongs to the OG San Franciscans.
