In Ep229, our panel discussed Newport County's released and retained list. Rhys asked the big question: can we adequately replace Nick Townsend if he leaves, given our meagre budget? FULL EPISODE 🌳 linktr.ee/1912exiles #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

It's been a privilege this season to follow Undy AFC Women and Chepstow Town as our local teams in focus, and to shine a light on some great people involved in both clubs. We're keen to hear from sides interested in being next year's equivalent. Our DMs are open! #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

A few good responses to yesterday's homework task, including from @boomstronk.bsky.social and @treigladschmeiglad.bsky.social. Anyone got any other suggestions to share? #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

In the latest episode (Ep229), our panel gave their responses to Sarah's question - but we'd love to hear yours as well! #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Listened yet? What did you think? #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Cautious optimism is where I currently am. Much depends on new signings which are critical to get right this year. No room for error

ICYMI, we have a new episode out! We bring you the panel's thoughts on County's new management team, on the retained / released list, and on which song best summarises the 2024/25 season... FULL EPISODE 🌳 linktr.ee/1912exiles #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

You may remember football writer @danielstorey85.bsky.social, who spoke with us in Ep214 about "doing the 92". His excellent final summary piece is here inews.co.uk/sport/footba... - and it contains praise for the Hazells Stand with which we strongly agree. #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Awful to read of what's happening in Liverpool. Don't share the footage, and don't feel the need to speculate about anything. If you want to actually help, here's a link to donate to the local children's hospital: donate.alderheycharity.org/donate/ #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

With Wayne Hatswell back at the County, it's time to resurrect one our favourite clips featuring his dulcet tones... 🀬 🍩 #PottyMouth #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Excellent @panicshack gig at the Corn Exchange tonight - and apparently their drummer is a County fan too! #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

The public have spoken, and apparently our house style will be to call the new gaffer Dai Hughes! #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Thanks to all those who contributed towards the #NicksTacticalTumble charity fund. All proceeds have now been split between County in the Community and the Friends of the Care project in πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¬ Hopefully we'll come up with something else to unofficially sponsor next season. πŸ˜€ #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Hang on lads, someone needs to tell Mr Hughes that he's not ACTUALLY going to be the new boss - this lot swore blind a few weeks ago that it'd be Joe Allen, and they definitiely are in the know and not just making up bollocks for clicks... #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

We'll be recording a pod tomorrow to discuss yesterday's managerial news and (belatedly) the retained/released list. Any questions for our panel or thoughts you'd like to share? #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

The whole @robphillipshere.bsky.social interview with David Hughes (on the club's YouTube page) is excellent - do watch it. But this bit stood out. Needing to dig in when games aren't going our way. We started last season able to do that, but lost it. Critical to put right. #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Sad to see Chepstow Town's promotion dream come to an end last night. A brave performance, but congrats to Ynyshir Albions who deserved their win. No doubt there'll be more to come next season from this talented team. Thanks for letting us follow you along the way this year.

When @robphillipshere.bsky.social talks, we listen (quite literally when he's on the wireless). Important assessment here from someone whose opinion we respect. #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

With County's new manager now confirmed (incidentally, are we calling him "David", "Dave" or "Dai"?), here's some insights on his character and history, courtesy of #BarryTown fan Ian Johnson. Initial reactions, Exiles? youtu.be/sDYHSrNVWj8 #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Oi oi, manager announcement incoming! πŸ‘€ Dai Hughes, come on down! #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

⏰ TONIGHT! ⏰ A final football fix before the summer, as our featured local side Chepstow Town go for promotion in the Ardal Southern playoff final against Ynyshir Albions. 7.30pm kickoff, #YstradMynach. Whatever the result, it's been a privilege to support the lads this season. To victory! πŸ’ͺ🏻

We hope you'll indulge us if we put this up one more time... If you have enjoyed our 40-odd episodes this season, please consider getting a round in at the bar by dropping us a few quid via our Ko Fi page. All donations gratefully received. πŸ›’ ko-fi.com/1912exiles #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Some good suggestions here from Aaron Challoner (who's on Twitter but not Bluesky) for County's summer transfer business. Well worth a read as we wait for the summer wheeler-dealing to begin. πŸ“„ drive.google.com/file/d/1mhUN... #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€

Seemingly with less than 48hrs notice for supporters from the powers that be, our local featured men's side Chepstow Town have their biggest game of the season TOMORROW against Ynyshir Albions for a place in the Cymru South next season. Get there if you can!

Can't believe two sides from the English First Division are playing in a major(ish) European final and it's not available to watch anywhere on normal telly. #AgainstModernFootball

Dave here, being as chirpy as always. 🀣 #ncafc πŸ§‘πŸ–€
