What should be the easiest house move ever. Selling to first time buyers. Buying a house that's unoccupied . & still solicitors sit on emails, wait weeks to post forms & flag questions, deny receipt of emails & documents . Are all Solicitors incompetent or do they do it on purpose for house buyers ?

I was due to see Rick Buckler in conversation , got an email about on going health issues, but it was just postponed. Absolutely gutted when I heard the news .  Only got to see the Jam a few times , his drumming intro to "Tubestation" is a real stand out memory .  ​​​​​​​RIP.

Don't like record store day, just a way of ripping off punters. That said .. This year , April 12th Belly (King), Frank Black ( Teenager o.t.y. )& The Men they couldn't hang (Cherry red jukebox) all have reissues out that are tempting. I'm relying on the stupidly massive queues to keep me away.

Todays find while getting stuff ready for the house move. Bristol City fist day covers & a letter from a local derby giving me money back, I think we were treated badly in the away end. I was petty enough to take the money from them, rather than keep the cheque for show. #bristolcity

Clearing out ready to move house you come across all sorts of crap. Found some swimming certificates ( bet not everyone has a 100 yards one) , the forms when I became an apprentice and my Police caution from when I was caught trespassing at 16. Wonder what other rubbish will turn up.

Todays top tip . When your wife wants to travel 15/20 miles to look around a Bathroom showroom. Always , but always , check to see if they open on a Sunday. Ended up in Saltford for Flourish Farm shop, spending too much on meat of various types .

The reality of moving house is starting to kick in. Too many books in a box and I make noises when I lift it. Not looking forward to boxing the Vinyl & CDs or all the other 2 bookcases of books . Repeat 'it'll be worth it' 'it'll be worth it'

Out for a end of the week walk & by chance stumbled into a pub. The Mrs had an Irish coffee, now allowing for the fact I detest coffee & hate whiskey, I tried in the interest of science. I may not survive & a full pint of Moretti later I can’t get rid of the taste,scraping my tongue for 10 minutes
