I just saw a post alleging that among the “tells” a post is written by ChatGPT is use of an em dash—not to be confused with its younger sibling the en dash, or lil’ baby hyphen—and frankly fuck that. The noble em dash is maybe the most versatile punctuation—I use it constantly.

me reading a contemporary philosophical position: this is just Locke's view with a paint job me reading historical philosophers: if you look at the change in wording between the fourth and fifth editions of the Essay, he says "by only" instead of "only by", so it's essentially an entirely new view

I liked one photo of a fox on my first day using Bluesky and now my feed is like OH YOU LIKE FOXES HUH and basically only shows me pictures of foxes. I continue to like them, so I think this is going to be a self-perpetuating phenomenon.
