Flow might be the first film where a capybara is one of the main characters. I was inspired by how peaceful and chill they are. And how diplomatic and friendly they are with every type of animal. Although I identify with the cat the most, my aspiration is to be like the capybara.

Sometimes Flow is called a silent film, which isn't true. Dialogue free would be a better description. Without dialogue we can use the other tools of cinema much more expressively. The music, sound, camera and animation don't have to compete with the dialogue which tends to attract all attention

I was looking up videos on how to cut a rutabaga for my stew and was baffled to see one where this dude was stabbing the rutabaga with a spoon until it cracked open to an ASMR worthy narration. Turns out that vid was from a channel dedicated to “professional spoon cutting”. How curious.
