What to do with 6 pounds of montmorency cherries? Make cherry bounce, of course! First up, Martha Washington's recipe. I'm using 2 cups of apple brandy, 2/3 cup sugar, half a pound of smashed cherries, half stick of cinnamon, and half a nutmeg. Jar, then leave it alone for 6-12 weeks.

so much rain, K7 was underwater at 47th street in Shawnee. K-32 along the river between K-7 and 435 is pretty soggy too, LOTS of standing water our lake is still within its banks, but its getting pretty marginal for vehicle traffic #kswx #kcwx

Gamma spectroscopy funtime - the green line is depleted uranium marbles (U238), while the brown and gray filled portion is natural uranium glaze (U235). The blue arrows are pointing at the 186 kiloelectronvolt line, which is the easiest way to tell the difference between the two!
