*This (Miller’s) statement does not apply to anyone convicted of 34 felonies or anyone who violently tried to overturn an election, so long as they’re MAGA. Also does not apply to following 10th Am. case law if it conflicts w MAGA agenda. Also, “Federal law” means whatever we want, lawful or not.

Here is the American story in a nutshell. It was a battle between those who believed in the virtue of the farm, and those who believed in the virtue of the marketplace. Those who believed in the virtue of the farm knew it could not last much more than 50 years. Those who believed in the virtue of

I truly do not give a shit about what stupid power games a lot of very stupid people think they are playing. Remove the fascists from office and put them in prison.

We didn't have to do this when we were a constitutional Republic of laws & a functioning Article I legislative branch of the Constitution. But here we are: bsky.app/profile/sonj...

Imagine how Musk’s henchmen in the FAA could mess with this.

Top of the world, ma!

"This hostile takeover of the government of a superpower is astonishing and should be front-page news every day. Yet denial, cowardice, and normalization have affected media coverage of this catastrophe." lucid.substack.com/p/the-whole-...

The pointless kidnapping/abduction efforts are 1) not even targeting criminals and 2) making the whole country less safe. Spread the word.

Re: "centrist" Democrats trying coax Musk to join them, this is not a matter of "center" or "left" but gradations of neoliberalism. Here's the account of how we got here in my book, The Fourth Branch. My error was to state that only one major party was captured.

Uh oh . . . "West Antarctic Ice Sheet collapse contributes over 4 m sea-level rise in equilibrium ice sheet states with little (0.25 °C) or even no ocean warming above present. Therefore, today we are likely already at (or almost at) an overshoot scenario . . . ." www.nature.com/articles/s43...

A small point but one I will continue to harp on - an executive order is only one type of presidential directive. None of Pres. Trump's actions yesterday were executive orders. Two were proclamations, and one was a memorandum. s2.washingtonpost.com/camp-rw/?tra...

But …but…@chrismurphyct.bsky.social says we have to form PACs! Hammer, nail, something, something….

idk maybe start by convincing your colleagues to stop voting for Trump nominees and to actually show up to Judiciary Committee hearings for judicial nominees?

...And therefore Trump should be impeached and removed from office

Honor is not conservative. The question is what or who is honored. The New Deal was distinctive in part because it shifted public honor from the ‘self-made man’ to those engaged in collective enterprise. Ever since there has been a constant battle between those two notions of public honor.

The senator @warren.senate.gov is a former Harvard Law professor, so really good at writing reports, and her staff appears to work very hard. So hard, in fact, that they can’t be bothered to respond to constituent communications. And what obstruction has she actually pursued on the Senate floor?

Institutions need to join forces to demand Trump's removal. No major institution in American life ever has. That's the roadblock. That's what needs to change.

Fantastic

👇🎯 Millions of people, & many of our elites, have revealed themselves to either be incredibly ageist/ableist/vulnerable to conspiracy theories or to not know any loved ones with actual dementia

Really pathetic. Generic ballot? Sure, cling to that rather than doing something meaningful, legislative obstruction of all kinds and introducing impeachment articles every day.

If the United States was anywhere near what many want desperately to believe it ever was, two groups would now be fighting each other to accomplish their patriotic duty first: on the one hand, Congress with impeachment, and on the other, the vice president and the cabinet with the 25th amendment.

“They are behaving like fascists.” If they behave like something, they are that something. It’s just beyond belief that members of Congress have refused to accept this and ACT on it, which makes them complicit no matter what MoCs claim to be.

It's when you step back from each of today's outrageous news stories that the broader pattern emerges: There's no other way to read these four stories together & avoid the conclusion that Trump is in the process of privatizing the power of the public & installing a personalist autocracy in the USA

This week marks one year since Trump was convicted of 34 felonies. We were told accountability would be "too dangerous." Meanwhile, these democracies held their convicted leaders accountable: 🇫🇷x3 🇰🇷x3 🇧🇷x3 🇺🇦 🇭🇷 🇦🇹 🇲🇾 🇿🇦 🇷🇼 🇨🇮 🇲🇻 🇧🇦 🇬🇪 🇮🇹 🇦🇷 🇧🇮 America was the sole outlier.

So what's the plan, Raskin? Has the word "impeachment" ever occurred to you? Are you working over GOP colleagues who won very close races?
